Elton John – Circle Of Life

To me, the message about the circle of life is similar to Rumi’s quote “Step out of the circle of time / And into the circle of love.” The first line also reminds me of the Australian Aborigine proverb about us being here on Earth to observe, learn, grow and love.

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There’s more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There’s far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found

But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless roundIt’s the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of LifeIt’s the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

Rumi – beautiful poems by Sepand

Video commentary:

The music is from the album Nights and Days from Greendjohn.

A true Lover doesn’t follow any one religion, be sure of that.
Since in the religion of Love, there is no irreverence or faith.
When in Love, body, mind, heart and soul don’t even exist.
Become this, fall in Love, and you will not be separated again.

By day I praised you and never knew it.
By night I stayed with you and never knew it.
I always thought that I was me–but no,
I was you and never knew it.

I am drumming, I am drumming, I am drumming
For my Love’s ever nearing union.
They say get a life. What is all this drumming?
I swear to the Love, the day that I stop drumming,
Is the day that I will stop living.

Not Christian, Muslim or Jew
Not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi or Zen.
Not any Religion of Cultural System.
I am Not from the East or the West,
Not out of the Ocean or up from the Ground,
Not Natural or Ethereal,
Not composed of Elements at All.
I do not Exist, am not an Entity
in this World or the Next,
Did not descend from Adam and Eve or any Origin Story.
My place is the placeless,
A trace of the traceless.
Neither Body nor Soul.
I belong to the beloved.
I have seen the Two Worlds as One
And that One call to and Know,
First, Last, Outer, Inner —
Only that breath breathing
Human Being …..

The Alchemy of Love: Rumi Poetry (pt.3)

We rarely hear the inward music,
but we’re all dancing to it nevertheless
directed by the one who teaches us,
the pure joy of the sun,
our music master.
Rumi

“Human beings, vegetables or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune intoned in the distance by an invisible player.”
– Albert Einstein

THE ALCHEMY OF LOVE

You come to us
from another world

From beyond the stars
and void of space.
Transcendent, Pure,
Of unimaginable beauty,
Bringing with you
the essence of love

You transform all
who are touched by you.
Mundane concerns,
troubles, and sorrows
dissolve in your presence,
Bringing joy
to ruler and ruled
To peasant and king

You bewilder us
with your grace.
All evils
transform into
goodness.

You are the master alchemist.

You light the fire of love
in earth and sky
in heart and soul
of every being.

Through your love
existence and nonexistence merge.
All opposites unite.
All that is profane
becomes sacred again.

Eternity’s Jar

In the house of lovers the walls are made of songs,
the floor dances and the music never stops.

Deepak Chopra & Demi Moore – Rumi – Desire

Video commentary:

Deepak Chopra & Demi Moore

I am bewildered by the magnificence of your beauty,
and wish to see you with a hundred eyes….
I am in the house of mercy,
and my heart is a place of prayer.

Yoga Goddess:

This is the most sensual, heart and soul opening and utterly beautiful recitation of three of Rumi’s poems by Deepak Chopra and Demi Moore. It’s worth listening to them on the album “Buddha Bar II Dinner” – the track is called “Desire – A lover’s passion”.

“A lover knows only humility, he has no choice. He steals into your alley at night, he has no choice. He longs to kiss every lock of your hair, don’t fret, he has no choice. In his frenzied love for you, he longs to break the chains of his imprisonment, he has no choice.

A lover asked his beloved: Do you love yourself more than you love me? Beloved replied: I have died to myself and I live for you. I’ve disappeared from myself and my attributes, I am present only for you. I’ve forgotten all my learnings, but from knowing you I’ve become a scholar. I’ve lost all my strength, but from your power I am able. If I love myself…I love you. If I love you…I love myself.

I am your lover, come to my side, I will open the gate to your love. Come settle with me, let us be neighbours to the stars. You have been hiding so long, endlessly drifting in the sea of my love. Even so, you have always been connected to me. Concealed, revealed, in the unknown, in the un-manifest. I am life itself. You have been a prisoner of a little pond, I am the ocean and its turbulent flood. Come merge with me, leave this world of ignorance. Be with me, I will open the gate to your love.

I desire you more than food or drink. My body, my senses, my mind hunger for your taste. I can sense your presence in my heart although you belong to all the world. I wait with silent passion for one gesture one glance from you.” ~Rumi~
