GuruGanesha Band Introducing Paloma Devi – ‘A Thousand Suns’

I like the chorus that goes:

“May the light of a thousand suns shine through; live the life of grace that you were meant to”

According to the singer-songwriter, he believes that “inside each human being is a light that is brighter than a thousand suns.”

If you can hear my voice now God
Then won’t you take this song to be a gift of love
I hope you hear me say

Thank-you for the sun
And thank-you for the stars
For all that you have done
And for all the things you are
May you know I have a grateful heart

And if one life is all I’ve got
Then now I tell you God
I’m grateful and in awe of the world around me

Thank-you for the sun
And thank-you for the moon
For all that I’ve become
And for all that I’ve been through
May you know this grateful heart’s for you

You found me in the night
When my life was filled with pain
And you reached me with your light
And your angels kept me safe
Now I find you in the skies
And within the falling rain
You are hidden in all life
And in every breath I take
And now that I have seen
I will never be the same
And you will have a grateful heart in me

And if I should stumble once again;
Fall in darkness without end
On your grace I will depend
And when I heal, I’ll say

Thank-you for the hurt
And thank-you for my pain
And thank-you for this life
And how it’s opened me in ways
That made me see
A grateful heart in me

Oh now I see a grateful heart in me

The Alchemy of Love: Rumi Poetry (pt.3)

We rarely hear the inward music,
but we’re all dancing to it nevertheless
directed by the one who teaches us,
the pure joy of the sun,
our music master.

“Human beings, vegetables or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune intoned in the distance by an invisible player.”
– Albert Einstein

You come to us
from another world

From beyond the stars
and void of space.
Transcendent, Pure,
Of unimaginable beauty,
Bringing with you
the essence of love

You transform all
who are touched by you.
Mundane concerns,
troubles, and sorrows
dissolve in your presence,
Bringing joy
to ruler and ruled
To peasant and king

You bewilder us
with your grace.
All evils
transform into

You are the master alchemist.

You light the fire of love
in earth and sky
in heart and soul
of every being.

Through your love
existence and nonexistence merge.
All opposites unite.
All that is profane
becomes sacred again.

Living in the unforced rhythms of grace. by Godfrey Birtill

I love the mellow and soothing music, and the meditative and assuring lyrics, such as the refrains “Be still” near the beginning of the song, and “Living in the unforced rhythm of grace”, and also “It’s time to quit trying to please Him”. It’s addictively pleasing and wonderfully catchy to listen to over and over again.

Two thousand years ago we bled into one. Godfrey Birtill (Rough Demo)

Listening to the first few lines of this song and reading the lyrics brought a resounding Amen in my heart. Yep – it’s the gospel of inclusion in the unconditional, universal love of God as I understand it. 🙂

Two thousand years ago, we bled into one
And when I think of it, I’m drunk on Your love
So great is the love
That You’ve lavished on us
We are your children, O God.
Now every distance
Has been cancelled in Christ
And separation’s an illusion, a lie,
So great is the love
That You’ve lavished on us
We are your children, O God,
That is what we are, That is what we are;
We are your children, O God,
That is what we are, That is what we are.
Playing in the fields of grace
Knowing this joy of our Pa Pa’s embrace
Hear Him say, ‘I love you’
Hear Him say ‘I’ve always loved you’.
Wonderfully saved, secure
Beautifully raised for heaven, made pure;
Hear Him say, ‘I love you’
Hear Him say ‘I’ve always loved you’.

Yes, every distance has been cancelled in Christ and separation is an illusion, a lie.
