Born free (Lyrics)

Born free, soundtrack of the same name’s film, sung by Matt Monro

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart
Live free and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star
Stay free where no walls divide you
You’re free as the roaring tide
So there’s no need to hide
Born free and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘Cause you’re born free
Stay free where no walls divide you
You’re free as the roaring tide
So there’s no need to hide
Born free and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘Cause you’re born free

Deep Forest – Sweet Lullaby (Natural Trance Mix)

This mesmerising song “Sweet Lullaby” by Deep Forest is one of the new-agey pop songs that I listened to a lot in the 1990s. I believe the song captures the heart, soul and spirit of the deep, ancient forest that resides within each of us.

Yeha Noha – Sacred Spirit – Wishes of Happiness – Native American Chant

I used to listen to this Native American song a lot when I started venturing into world music, ethnic music and new age music in the 1990s, and this nostalgic song came back to my memory since yesterday

Such regality. Such nobility. Such grace. Such timelessness.

OFFICIAL Somewhere over the Rainbow – Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwoʻole

Little Boxes by Pete Seeger

The tune is catchy, and the lyrics and video are cute and thought-provoking at the same time. The song wittingly satirises the homogenising effect of suburbanisation that causes both people and buildings to conform to standardised norms and to be confined within boxes, both metaphorically and literally.
