Richard Marx – Now & Forever

Now and Forever Lyrics – Richard Marx

Whenever I’m weary
From the battles that rage in my head
You make sense of madness
When my sanity hangs by a thread
I lose my way but still you
Seem to understand
Now and forever
I will be your man

Sometimes I just hold you
Too caught up in me to see
I’m holding a fortune
That heaven has given to me
I’ll try to show you
Each and every way I can
Now and forever
I will be your man

Now I can rest my worries
And always be sure
That I won’t be alone anymore
If I’d only known you were there
All the time
All this time

Until the day the ocean
Doesn’t touch the sand
Now and forever
I will be your man

Now and forever
I will be your man

The Ocean – The Bravery (moon version)

I have listened to this song and I learnt it is a contemplative song about memories. People may come and go in our lives, among friends and acquaintances, and some treasured friendships remain etched forever in our heart, as we climb the mountain in reflection and contemplation. The imagery of the ocean somehow reminds me of another song called “Right here waiting” by Richard Marx. Spiritually speaking, love and friendship are able to transcend physical distance as they dwell in the heart.

Here And Now – Luther Vandross

Video information

“Here and Now” was written by David L. Elliott and Terry Steele in 1989. Taken from the album “Best of Luther Vandross… The Best of Love.”

Here And Now Lyrics – Luther Vandross

When I look in your eyes
And there I see
Just what you mean to me
Here in my heart I believe
Your love is all I’ll ever need
Holding you close through the night
I need you

I look in your eyes
And there I see
What happiness really means
The love that we share
Makes life so sweet
Together we’ll always be
This pledge of love feels so right
And ooh…I need you…

(Chorus)
Here and now
I promise to love faithfully (Faithfully)
You’re all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee (You and me)
Your love is all I, I need

Say yeah…

When I look in your eyes
There I see
All that a love should really be
And I need you more
And more each day
Nothing can take your love away
More than I dare to dream
I need you

(Chorus)
Here and now
I promise to love faithfully (Faithfully)
You’re all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee (You and me)
Your love is all I need

Starting here
Ooh and I’m starting now
I believe in love
Starting here (I believe)
I’m starting right here
Starting now, right now because
I believe in your love
So I’m glad to take the vow

Here and now
I promise to love faithfully (Faithfully)
You’re all I need
Here and now
I vow to be one with thee (You and me)
Your love is all I need

(Ad lib till the end)

Michael Franti & Spearhead – Say Hey (I Love You)

Video information

Music video by Michael Franti & Spearhead performing Say Hey (I Love You). (C) 2009 Boo Boo Wax

Lyrics

This one goes out to you and yours
Worldwide
I say hey I’ll be gone today
But I’ll be back all around the way
It seems like everywhere I go
The more I see
The less I know
But I know one thing
That I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you

I’ve been a lot of places all around the way
I’ve seen a lot joy and I’ve seen a lot of pain
But I don’t want to write a love song for the world,
I just want to write a song about a boy and a girl
Junkies on the corner always calling my name
And the kids on the corner playing ghetto games
When I saw you getting down well I hoped it was you
And when I looked into your eyes I knew it was true
I say Hey I’ll be gone today
But I’ll be back all around the way
It seems like everywhere I go
The more I see
The less I know
But I know one thing
That I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you

Now I’m not a highly metaphysical man
But I know when the stars are aligned you can
Bump into person in the middle of the road
Look into their eyes and you suddenly know
Rocking in the dance hall moving with you
Dancing in the night in the middle of June
My momma told me don’t lose you
‘Cause the best luck I had was you
I said Hey I’ll be gone today
But I’ll be back all around the way
It seems like everywhere I go
The more I see the less I know
But I know one thing
That I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you

And I said rocking in the dance hall moving with you
I said Hey momma hey momma close to you
Rocking in the dance hall moving with you
I said hey papa, hey papa close to you
Rocking in the dance hall moving with you
I said Hey Momma hey momma close to you
Rocking in the dance hall moving with you I said
Hey momma, hey momma, hey momma, hey momma
Hey momma, hey momma, hey momma, hey momma

My momma told me don’t lose you
Cause the best luck I had was you
And I know one thing that I love you
I said I’ll be gone today
But I’ll be back all around the way
It seems like everywhere I go
The more I see the less I know
I said I’ll be gone today
But I’ll be back all around the way
It seems like everywhere I go
The more I see the less I know
But I know one thing that I love you
I love you (3x)
I love you (3x)
I love you (3x)

“Triumph” Emotional Flow Classical Music

I came across this highly energetic piano composition in my YouTube newsfeed and listened to it on my way home. I listened to it again after reaching home and found it inspiring – here’s sharing with you too. I learnt that it is about the triumph of the human civilization, and I would interpret the music as being about an ongoing collective evolution and revolution championing for human rights, equality and freedom.

Video information

The story of human civilization is that of triumph, countless generations surviving the elements and fighting to create a better tomorrow for their descendants. This is a story about triumph.
